A family kitchen
The main footprint of the plumbing and cabinets was followed but by replacing the previous 1980s seating bench and table near the back door with a coffee bar and creating a nook that acts as a food prep space and seating area, the kitchen got larger. I created tall cabinets by taking out a transom window to the master bathroom and the simplicity of the design keeps your eye on the hand crafted details of the kitchen and client’s collection of objects and also focuses the view on the garden I designed for them a few years prior as well as the interior and bathroom redesign I did on a different phase of the design project.
